LATROBE, Pa. – The Lycoming College men’s soccer team held a 16-9 advantage in shots but could not find the net in suffering a 1-0 defeat against St. Vincent on Sunday, Sept. 28.

Lycoming (5-3-1) managed five shots in the first half while St. Vincent (4-6) recorded four shots. Neither team could score, sending the game to halftime notched at 0-0.

St. Vincent got on the board in the 51st minute when Luis Rodriguez beat Warrior keeper David Bald (Annapolis, Md.) on a breakaway.

Bald finished the game with five saves.

Chris Lorenzet (Forest Hill, Md.) and Matt Frey (Greensboro, Md.) each had four shots in the game with Lorenzet recording two shots on goal.

Lycoming outshot St. Vincent 11-5 in the second half but each team finished the game with six shots on goal. St. Vincent held a 5-3 advantage in corner kicks.

The Warriors return home on Wednesday, Oct. 1, for a 4 p.m. game against Baptist Bible College.
