Lycoming Audubon program explores breeding-bird abundance, distribution

Williamsport – Dan Brauning, wildlife diversity coordinator for the Pennsylvania Game Commission, will present “Changes in Distribution and Abundance of Breeding Birds in the Mid-Atlantic States: Response to Climate Change?” at the March 25 Lycoming Audubon Society meeting.

Brauning, who holds a master’s degree in ecology from Penn State University, has birded in Pennsylvania since he was a teenager.

He coordinated the first Pennsylvania Breeding Bird Atlas and co-authored “The Birds of Pennsylvania.” He and his wife, Marcia, have three sons.
