Obituary: Eileen M. Patton (April 23, 1920 – April 12, 2009)

Eileen M. Patton, 88, of Williamsport, died Sunday, April 12, 2009 at the Williamsport Home.

Eileen was a 1939 graduate of Liberty High School.Born April 23, 1920 in Liberty, she was the daughter of Fay B. and Pearl Rhynehart Brion.

Surviving are five nieces and nephews.

Eileen was predeceased by her husband, Thomas J. Patton; a brother, Robert Brion and sisters, Jeanette Frazier and Edna Fritz.

Graveside services at Frieden’s Lutheran Church Cemetery, Liberty, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 17, 2009, with the Rev. Raymond D. Forsythe officiating. There will be no visitation.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to SouthernCare Hospice, 190 Choate Circle, Suite 2, Montoursville, PA 17754.

Williamsport – Leroy F. Lupold, (May 15, 1923 – April 9, 2009) 85, of 16 Clearview Lane, Cogan Station, died Thursday, April 9, 2009 at his home following an extended illness. Leroy and his wife, the former Hilda R. Funk, celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary on May 16, 2008.Leroy was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church, a life member of the Old Lycoming Fire Hall, the Wheel Inn and the Republican League of Newberry. He was a 50 year member of Lodge #106 F. and A.M., Scottish Rite of Williamsport, Eugene Grafius Post 104, Montoursville, Moose Lodge 145, South Williamsport and the White Sand Spring Hunting Club. Leroy was a former member of the Golden K Kiwanis Club.

Leroy was an Army veteran of World War II and retired from North Penn Trucking Company, the former Follmer Trucking Company, after 45 years as a Truck Driver.

Born May 15, 1923 in Tuscarora, NY, he was the son of William Henry and Pearl Ruth Sullivan Lupold.

Surviving besides his wife are daughters, Virginia L. (Harvey) Schuman of Linden and Connie J. Bodle of Myrtle Beach, SC; brother, Albert W. Lupold of Muncy; grandchildren, Bryan Bodle, Jennifer Bodle and Todd Schuman, a great grandson, Dylan Bodle and several nieces and nephews.

Leroy was predeceased by a sister, Isabell Metzger, a half sister, Ethel Dillinger and half brothers, Floyd and Kenneth Lupold.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 14, 2009, at the Church, 324 South Howard Street, South Williamsport, with Rev. Maurice C. Frontz III officiating. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Knight-Confer’s, 1914 Memorial Avenue and from 10-10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church.

The family will provide flowers and suggests memorial contributions may be made in Leroy’s name to the church, South Williamsport, PA 17702, The Gatehouse Hospice Unit, 1100 Grampian Blvd., Williamsport, PA 17701 or Susquehanna Hospice, 1001 Grampian Blvd., Williamsport, PA 17701.

Bonny M. Troisi (May 11, 1958 - April 6, 2009)

Williamsport – Bonny M. Troisi, (May 11, 1958 – April 6, 2009) 50, of 2850 Cochran Avenue, Duboistown, died Monday, April 6, 2009 at the Muncy Valley Hospital Skilled Nursing Unit following a lengthy illness.

A loving wife and mother, Bonny was born May 11, 1958 in Williamsport, the daughter of Robert and Catherine Marie Musser Shaffer.

Bonny was a graduate of Williamsport Area High School and Lycoming College and earned a Master’s degree in public administration from Marywood College. She was the executive director of the Lycoming County Chapter of the American Red Cross for two decades. She helped lead the chapter through an unprecedented era of growth and challenge from the early 1980s through her retirement in January 2002.
