Master Falconer to Present Eagle Program at Lycoming Audubon Meeting

Williamsport – “The Eagle Experience,” a program by master falconer and eagle educator Michael W. Kuriga, will be presented at the Feb. 24 meeting of the Lycoming Audubon Society.

During the presentation, Kuriga will share some of his many adventures with eagles and discuss their ecology and physiology. He will bring the current Bald Eagle he is handling, relating stories about it and other birds of prey he has flown. Cameras with flash are allowed and encouraged.

The program will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the dining hall/recreation facility at the Little League Baeball complex in South Williamsport.

For nearly 30 years, Kuriga has been training and hunting with a variety of raptors.  Practicing the ancient art of falconry has been his passion, taking him all over the world in pursuit of this noble art form. He has lectured to thousands of people throughout Pennsylvania and has given talks in the United Kingdom, the Czech Republic and in many states across the nation.
