Police are looking for whoever made the mess at Loyalsock High School

Loyalsock – Graffiti has been found on the grounds of a high school in Lycoming County. Now police are looking for whoever made the mess at Loyalsock High School and a nearby community pool.Maintenance crews discovered the graffiti Monday morning at the high school in Loyalsock Township. Workers found the same at the local community pool.

Head custodian Brian Bubb inspected the spot where vandals turned a building at the Loyalsock Township High School football field into a graffiti canvas.

“They have talent. Wish they would use it someplace else,” Bubb said. He added it’s the first time vandals have hit the school in years and this time it could cost hundreds to sandblast away the graffiti. “It was a shock. We’re not used to seeing it vandalized. Because of the work we do to keep it clean to come in in the morning and find this, very discouraging.”

Students at Loyalsock Township have been spring vacation since last Friday. They are expected to come back this Thursday. The thought is that vandals hit the football field sometime over the weekend, leaving maintenance crews to find it on Monday. .

“(I) got here at 7:20 and saw someone thought we needed a paint job,” said David Moore of Loyalsock Township.
