Montoursville based singer-songwriter Hugh Ross will be bringing his new band to The Tiadaghton Inn, 1120 Allegheny Street in Jersey Shore on Saturday, January 31st. Music begins 9:00PM.One Magazine wrote, “How Hugh Ross, a frisbee-slinging, gypsy-leaning, self-reliant musician, came to fall in love and settle in Montoursville is an elusive tale for the campfire.” He will be performing songs from his CD, RED DYE #5. His band includes guitarist Caleb Banas (Lux Bridge), vocalist Antares J. Barr, bassist Jeff Frye (Ground Xero) and drummer Jason Shuman.

Ross has “seen the world through many lenses, being a manic depressive student, working on the docks and as an architect’s assistant.” He also wears his faith on his sleeve, “letting God and the music do the rest.” His music is rooted in archetypal singer-songwriter song structures (Cat Stevens, James Taylor, etc.), with clever mid-song tempo shifts and future-primitive elements. He is called a “passionate singer” and his “sturdy guitar playing is impressive for self taught.” Sound clips can be heard on

Besides Ross, “Singer at Large” Johnny J. Blair and his back-up band will also be performing.

There will be a $5 cover charge. For more information contact the Tiadaghton Inn at (570-398-7474).
