WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Jim Daley (football) and Scott Erikson (football) have been selected as the Warrior co-Athletes of the Week for their performances in Lycoming’s 23-15 win against Lebanon Valley on Saturday, Nov. 15.

Daley, a sophomore from Warrington, Pa., led the Warrior defense with 12 total tackles, including seven solo stops and 1.0 tackle for a loss. With Lycoming leading 16-15 and Lebanon Valley starting a drive, he intercepted a pass and returned it 13 yards for a touchdown with 1:55 left in the game, effectively ending the game and sealing the win. For his efforts, he was named the Middle Atlantic Conference Defensive Player of the Week.

Erikson, a senior from New Providence, N.J., was perfect in the kicking game, connecting on three field goals and two extra points to score 11 of the team’s 23 points. He set a career-high of three made field goals in a game, converting from 23, 24 and 28 yards in the wet and sloppy conditions. For his efforts, he was named the MAC Special Teams Player of the Week.

Lycoming’s win earned the team a share of the MAC title and the conference’s automatic qualifier for the NCAA playoffs. It marked the first title and playoff berth for the Warriors since 2003.

Lycoming earned a No. 5 seed in the East Region and will travel to the No. 4 seed, Hobart, on Saturday, Nov. 22. Kickoff is scheduled for 12 p.m. in Geneva, N.Y.
