Williamsport – The Wildcat Events Board, among the organizations that plan campus activities for Pennsylvania College of Technology students, brought home three awards from the National Association for Campus Activities Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference held Oct. 23-26 in Lancaster.WEB won the Outstanding Programming Award in the category of Civic or Service-Learning Program for May’s Walk-It-Out program, in which hundreds of participants collected pledges and strolled around Penn College’s athletic field to raise nearly $8,000 for the American Cancer Society.

The other two awards were won by students in the graphic arts competition. Megan R. Pennington, a graphic design student from Baltimore, won in the category of Nonposter Publicity for her Walk-It-Out footprint. Michael C. Snyder, of Shamokin, also a graphic design student, won in the category of Multicolor Student-Designed Poster for the Rock ‘n’ Roll Egg Hunt. In that event, 160 Penn College students searched for colored eggs hidden on campus by Residence Life staff.

“I’m very proud of the Wildcat Events Board for the awards it received and equally proud of Megan and Michael for their success in the arts competition,” said Michael J. Hersh, assistant director of student activities for programming and WEB’s adviser.
