Lycoming College to host Habitat for Humanity 5K Run/Walk

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Lycoming College will host its 11th annual Habitat for Humanity 5K Run/Walk for Shelter on Sunday, Nov. 9, beginning at 1 p.m. The course will be a 3.1 mile loop, starting at College Place and continuing through Brandon Park.Registration commences at noon. Walkers begin at 1 p.m. and runners at 1:30 p.m. Prizes will be awarded to the male and female individuals who place first overall, as well as to the top competitors in each age category. The first three male and female walkers will also receive awards.

The College’s chapter of Habitat for Humanity built its own Williamsport area Habitat House in December 2003. Since then, participants have been working with the local Habitat affiliate and are raising funds toward another house sponsorship.
