Lycoming wrestling ranked 30th in preseason national poll

OSWEGO, N.Y. – The Lycoming College wrestling team will begin its season ranked 30th in the nation, as announced in the Brute-Adidas Wrestling Coaches Association preseason poll, released this week.

The Warriors, who open their season on Monday, Nov. 3 as host to Scranton, finished the season ranked 17th in Division III last year, capped by Matt Miller’s national title at 197 pounds.

Chris Dahlheimer (Felton, Pa.) also earned preseason recognition, as the junior was ranked seventh in the preseason individual rankings at 165-pounds. Dahlheimer won the Empire Collegiate Wrestling Conference title and advanced to the national championships last year.

The Warriors, under the direction of 16th-year head coach Roger Crebs, will host Scranton at 7 p.m. on Monday night in Lamade Gymnasium to open the 2008-09 campaign.
