Lycoming swimming suffers setback at Albright

READING, Pa. – The Lycoming College swimming teams suffered defeats at Albright College on Saturday, Nov. 1. The men fell 111-89 while the women dropped a 108-95 decision.

The women’s team was led by Stacy Flick (Easton, Pa.), who was the lone double-winner in the meet. Flick won the 50-yard freestyle with a MAC automatic qualifying time of 25.86 and then claimed the 100-yard breaststroke with a MAC qualifier of 1:09.41.

Stephanie Conrad (Enola, Pa.) was the only other individual event winner for the Lady Warriors. Conrad won the 100-yard backstroke in a time of 1:05.10, bettering her automatic qualifier from the season opener.

The 200-yard medley relay team of Conrad, Flick, Jessie Gallagher (Cheltenham, Pa.) and Caroline LeHota (Bellefonte, Pa.) won the event with a season-best time of 1:56.44.

Freshman Joseph Andrie (Reedsville, Pa.) was the lone event winner for the men’s team, taking the top spot in the 100-yard breaststroke in a season-best time of 1:04.56, improving on his MAC automatic qualifier from the opener.

The Warriors will travel to Elizabethtown on Saturday, Nov. 8, for a 1 p.m. meet.
