WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The Lycoming College women’s soccer team won its second-straight game with a 4-0 shutout against cross-town rival Penn College on Monday, Sept. 22.

The Lady Warriors (2-3-2) dominated the game, outshooting the Wildcats (3-2-0) 25-4 and holding a 13-2 advantage in shots on goal.

Senior captain Bekah Shipe (Northumberland, Pa.) added to her career scoring records with two goals and one assist to lead the team.

Senior Sarah Wingerdon (Macedon, N.Y.) put Lycoming on the board in the ninth minute off an assist from Kelly Prendergast (Edison, N.J.). Wingerden added another point when she assisted the first of Shipe’s goals in the 16th minute.

Shipe added her second marker of the game in the 57th minute off an assist from junior Samantha Jo Bell (Maple Shade, N.J.) and then added one more point when she assisted sophomore Kati Shaner (Hughesville, Pa.) in the 81st minute.

Lycoming held a 5-0 advantage in corner kicks and were charged with four fouls to Penn College’s three.

Junior goalkeeper Brie Pepe (Lafayette, N.J.) earned the win and the shutout in her first start of the season. She recorded two saves in the game, including a one-on-one breakaway save in the second half that kept the Wildcats off the board.

The Lady Warriors will travel to St. Vincent College in Latrobe, Pa., on Sunday, Sept. 28. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. The Lycoming men’s team will face St. Vincent at 3 p.m., following the women’s game.

Notes: Shipe’s goals were her fourth and fifth of the season … Wingerden’s goal was her fourth of the year … Shaner’s was her second … the Lady Warriors have won their last two games by a combined score of 11-0 after starting the season at 0-3-2 … Lycoming used five substitutes in the game … freshman Samantha Peck (Naples, N.Y.) made her first collegiate appearance
