WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Riana Muller, a violin instructor at Lycoming College, has written “Ear Training Exercises for Violin Students.” The book was developed to help any violinist refine his or her intonation, with special emphasis on self-study to supplement what has already been learned.

Muller holds the prestigious Ysaÿe Medal and Diplome d’Honneur awarded by the Ysaÿe Foundation, Brussels, Belgium, for her World Premiere performance of Eugene Ysaÿe’s Violin Concerto No. 8. She was awarded a Certificate of Commendation by Chamber Music America, and has published articles in the “American String Teacher” and the “New York School Music News.”

Muller earned a B.M. and M.M. from Eastman School of Music, and studied violin with Joseph Knitzer, Carroll Glenn, Louis Persinger, and her father, the renowned violinist Ruggiero Ricci. She is the violinist and the author of the DVDs “Classical Music in the Foreign Language Classes.”
