HARRISBURG – Area seniors looking for the latest information on everything from health care and nutrition to government programs and financial planning should stop by the Lycoming Mall on Tuesday, Sept. 9, for Senior Expo 2008, hosted by Reps. Garth Everett (R-Lycoming) and Steven Cappelli (R-Williamsport).

The free event will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. More than 90 vendors will be set up at Center Court and down the Sear’s wing offering information on government services, volunteer opportunities, health care and elder care, insurance, estate planning, financial planning, hunting and fishing, and nutrition and exercise.

“Our annual expo is a great opportunity for senior residents and their families to get information that can benefit and improve their lives,” said Cappelli. “There are many state and local services that are available to our senior residents and this expo is a one-stop location to collect information on those services.”

“The health screenings offered by some of our vendors are another great resource that Lycoming County’s senior residents will have access to at our annual senior expo,” Everett said.

This year’s health screenings include:
· Hearing.
· Blood sugar.
· Computerized spinal stress.
· Blood pressure.
· Balance.
