December 10, 2008 Clark Named Coach Of The Year By Eastern Regional Coaches MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Lycoming College football coach Mike Clark has been named the NCAA Division III East Region Coach of the Year by D3Football.com, the preeminent source for Division III football coverage. Clark is joined by Ted Geurds and Chuck Bellitto in earning regional recognition.

November 22, 2008 – GENEVA, N.Y. – The Lycoming College football team dropped a 33-15 decision at No.23 Hobart on Saturday, Nov.22, in the opening round of the NCAA Playoffs. The Warriors scored first, but the Statesmen rallied with 33 unanswered points to advance to the second round of the playoffs.Nick Reese returned an interception 55 yards to set up a Colin Dwyer touchdown run midway through the second quarter for the first score of the game, but Hobart rallied back with two touchdowns to close the half with the lead. November 21, 2008 – As difficult as it is to believe that two schools with such prominent football history, separated by less than three hours, have never met … this will be the first meeting between the two teams.Back to the Playoffs Lycoming returns to the playoffs for the first time since 2003. The Warriors clinched the MAC’s automatic bid after claiming their 14th league title. Lycoming boasts an overall playoff record of 13-11 with two trips to the National Championship game. The Warriors dropped a heartbreaking 21-14 overtime game against Allegheny in 1990 and were beaten 61-12 against Mount Union in 1997.  More…

November 20, 2008 – Mike Clark was informed on November 19, 2008 that he was voted the Coach of the Year by the MAC coaches.  Mike, speaking to WOL stated, “The league coaches found themselves gracious enough to vote for me, at least the majority, so thats a great honor, but again, it is a testament to our coaching staff and our kids, and all the hard work that everybody has put in, so thats really a testament to them.”

November 18, 2008 – Lycoming College finishes the regular 2008 Season with a 7-3 record and a 6-2 record in the MAC.  Lycoming won the MAC Championship edging out Albright and Delaware Valley.  They had the same record as Lycoming, but Lycoming defeated both teams in the regular season.
